We are proud to present a new coin dedicated to the First Folio.
It was the first published collection of Shakespeare’s plays, produced seven years after his death. Originally tiled “Mr. William Shakespeare’s Comedies, Histories, & Tragedies,” it grouped the plays into their respective categories for the first time.
Edited and supervised by Shakespeare’s fellow actors and friends, John Heminges and Henry Condell, this groundbreaking folio presented 36 plays, including 18 previously unpublished works.
The coin features an antique finish and high relief, engraved in an extremely detailed design. It comes in a big wooden box with COA. Inside the box you will find a book reproduction featuring quotes from the “Mr. William Shakespeare’s Comedies, Histories, & Tragedies” collection of plays.
Limited mintage of only 333 pcs worldwide.
