We are pleased to present the next coin in the series “Stanislaw Lem – Master of Science Fiction”.

Stanisław Lem was a Polish writer of the hard science-fiction genre, philosopher and futurologist. He was born on 12 September 1921 in Lviv and died on 27 March 2006 in Krakow. His works dealt with such topics as the development of science and technology, human nature, the possibility of communication between intelligent beings and the place of man in the Universe.

Issued by the Republic of Cameroon with a face value of 2000 CFA francs, the coin is struck from 200 grams of .999 fine silver. The reverse depicts Stanisław Lem’s study – the place where his remarkable stories and visions of the future came to life. A desk with an open notebook, bookshelves filled with volumes, and a cosmic landscape at the center of the composition create a symbolic tribute to one of the most influential science fiction writers of the 20th century.

The coin has Antique Finish quality, High Relief, fluorescent printing, metallic UV printing, selective gold plating, and selective proof finish.
It comes in a box with a Certificate of Authenticity.

Limited mintage worldwide of 100 coins.
