This 2 oz silver Chronos coin symbolizes the passing of a lifetime and has a special finish, emphasizing the contrast between oldness and
youth. The concept of duality of the universe is embedded in the symbolic obverse side, where the half-moon and half-sun merge into a harmonious tandem. Two hands from the right and the left reflect growth and decline as an inevitable part of a life cycle.
On a closer look, the figure of the man in the hourglass emphasizes the transience of human life, and the gilding on it reinforces the idea that time is gold.
